Autumn is such a wonderful time to be a landscape photographer, however brief the season. This image is a great depiction of why the allure of autumn is so strong. The warm colours are evident throughout the woodland, from the brown and yellow bracken to the the foliage above. It's a rare phenomenon to find mist or fog in the forest, even more so when the light breaks through as it has in this image. This effect is powerful, rendering the whole image atmospheric and appealing. It must have been quite a morning to be out and about. Thank you for sharing.
This image presents an intriguing spectacle, showcasing a natural phenomenon that occurs when light interacts with the waterfall during a specific time of day and year. It would have been great to have more information regarding the location. Nevertheless, the composition is compelling. By excluding the sky, you have effectively directed all attention to the waterfall, eliminating potential distractions. Your choice of processing brings out strong contrasts, emphasising the rainbow effect created by light refraction. The vibrant colors of the waterfall work well with the various browns and reds visible on the surrounding cliffside. The presence of trees below adds a sense of scale to the scene. Overall, this image captures an intriguing moment and has been skillfully captured and processed.
I'm a big fan of cloudscapes and this one is a great example of why I find them so intriguing. The textures found within the cloud structure are powerful and the monochrome processing that you've chosen is really effective. There is almost an infrared feel to the processing, with the sky dark against the bright whiteness of the cloud. I like that you've given no context of the landscape, giving the image an abstract feel.
This image exudes a sense of classical beauty and timelessness. The religious iconography of the Buddhist temples stretching endlessly captures the viewer's attention, enhanced by the gentle backlighting of the scene by the low sunlight. The warm light beautifully highlights the lush greens and golden hues of the trees in the foreground. The composition is further elevated by the presence of two carts trundling down the road on the left, adding a human element and providing a sense of scale to the vastness of the scene. The overall result is a magical composition, skillfully composed and processed, that leaves a lasting impression.
I must applaud your creativity in capturing this particular image. I assume that you are the one operating the drone on the beach. The close proximity of the water to you evokes a sense of unease, yet it undeniably contributes to the effectiveness of the composition. The contrast between the black sands and the whites of the incoming tide adds an abstract and intriguing element to the scene. The vibrant pop of yellow from the bathing suit enhances the entire frame, creating a visually captivating combination. This image showcases your willingness to think outside the box and embrace creative approaches. Well done!
The title that you've given this image really resonates with the content of the frame. The composition conveys a sense of isolation and tranquility, as the building stands alone against the rugged backdrop of the mountain. This juxtaposition creates a strong visual impact and highlights the building's solitary presence in the midst of nature. The low cloud clinging to the peaks adds a sense of atmosphere and the granite and grey colour palette further enhances the mood of the image.
This is a remarkable image. The symbolism is striking, as the lone sunflower stands tall and resolute amidst a dramatic backdrop, while the rest of the crop seems to bow down, defeated by the weather. It evokes notions of individualism and rebellion, defying the norm. The composition is powerful, effectively conveying this message, and the post-processing further enhances its impact. With a strong narrative, this image carries a profound sense of strength and defiance. Thank you for sharing this powerful image.
What makes this image work is the clouds that you've captured above the pyramid. They seem to be streaming out from the top of the pyramid, leading the eye to the ancient structure. The blue of the sky contrasts with the browns of the architecture. The pyramid is a little wonky and the image would be made more effective if straightened in post.
This image serves as a testament to the adage that the best camera is the one you have with you. The depiction of the solitary boat on the water during sunset carries a powerful and iconic message, evoking a sense of solitude. Although the boat isn't perfectly positioned in the middle of the sun's reflection, it still manages to create an impact. The vibrant sunset, with its textured and colorful sky, contributes significantly to the overall composition. Rest assured, you can take great pride in capturing such a photo.
One of those iconic Icelandic scenes that really demonstrates why this part of the world is so popular with photographers. That low light is catching on the landscape and Kirkjufell, adding texture and colour to the scene. The high cloud is catching some of that light and colour, contrasting with the greens and browns of the landscape. It's a classic composition, tried and tested because it works well, and this is lovely rendition. Thanks for sharing.

I can only imagine how wonderful it is to visit Yellowstone in winter. This image show off some of that grandeur with the infamous mountains rising out of the snowy surroundings. The portrait orientation works well, leading the eye from the turquoise water in the foreground to the trees in the mid ground and the mountains beyond. The low cloud is obscuring the landscape in the distance giving the feeling that the valley is isolated. Nice composition, thank you for sharing.
This image revolves around the captivating play of light. While it's difficult to determine whether it's morning or evening, my intuition suggests it's early in the day, given the crispness in the atmosphere and the mountains basking in the sunlight. Your composition works well, with the pathway guiding the viewer through the heart of the image, enticing exploration and enjoyment of the landscape beyond. Although there is slight banding in the sky on the far right, it does not significantly diminish the overall impact of the image. Thank you for sharing!
A lovely autumnal square that shows off why that time of the year holds so much allure for landscape and woodland photographers. The frame is overwhelmed by the colour yellow. The foliage on the trees are all yellow, as is the woodland floor, covered in fallen leaves. The sunlight is picking out those bright tones and setting them apart from the sky in the background. For the most part the composition works well, but I would consider cropping out the branch intersecting the top left as it is rather distracting. That aside, there is plenty to enjoy here.
I always find that summer can be a difficult time to be a landscape photographer, especially as we move further into the summer and the fresh greens of late spring become a little more dull and lifeless. However, there is plenty to find if you're willing to get up early or stay up late and you image really shows off why summer can be a beautiful season. The various greens of the woodland and hedgerows are complemented by the purples and reds of the foliage below. A nice composition that show off the various delights of summer.
There are some lovely colours that you've captured in this image, as the sun rises and catches on the rocks. I like that you've gone for a depth of field that concentrates attention of the rocks in the foreground that are catching that early light. The low angle you've adopted adds some intrigue, providing a 'rock's eye view' of the scene. The sky goes from pink to blue, complimenting the rugged textures of the shoreline.
