A really nice atmospheric image with some great characteristics emerging from the clouds. It can be easy for the highlights to be blown out in these shots and its nice to see you have got an even exposure throughout the whole image. The details are relatively sharp and overall makes the image work well
A nice and eerie-looking image with some good details inside of it. I like the flow of the boat from the pier to the castle, but for me, it is missing the main focal point where it should be nice and sharp, such as on the boat or pier. that being said one of the better qualities is the exposure control over the brighter light of the fog starting to burn up in the light in the sky.
A nice image with some great details in the layers as it runs from the front to the back. I like that you can see the rugged feeling of the mountains in their darker tones against the light of the sky, making the image quite mesmerising. it is framed really nicely with. good balance between sky and mountains, really adding to the image as a whole.
This is another really strong image for the entries for this round of the competition, I like the use of depth of field to pull you into the shot with the structure on the mountaintop. The sledge on the right-hand frame does help to set the scene and add another dimension to the image, but I do feel it's a little bit too blurred by the DOF, that being said its presence is a welcomed addition. The colour treatment to the image also works and helps add a nostalgic feel to the work.
Your image has some really nice tones throughout it and the image itself is also composed very well. Your use of the longer exposure has captured the moment in the image really well and I like how you can see the flow in the smaller parts of the rocks too. One curiosity I have is for the subjects, do they add or detract from he subject, regardless the image is stunning and works really well.
This is a really stunning image and it is more impressive with how still the water is, something you don't see every day in the North West of Scotland. The big stand-out parts of the image are the mountains and how sharp you have got the edges of the image, making for a really nice stand-out subject breaking up the skyline that holds all those stunning colours.
Another top-quality image that has been submitted this round.
I like your control over the exposure ensuring the highlights are not overpowering in the image and at the same time ensuring the shadows don't do the same. The shapes you have captured in the frame also work well against the ops of the mountains and the bird breaking free from it all works well too.
A really nice image that has some very moody vibes about it with the remoteness of the island in the water. I like the choppiness of the water in the shot, but what I find quite distracting is the amount of light to the top left of the frame, this becomes a bit over powering and means you struggle to see some of the rest of the shot. but the framing and details are done very well in the image, maybe look into using grad filter to help balance this out..
A really nice competition and it's great to see you have an understanding of these concepts, where the image is being let down by the focus not being quite sharp on the image. This could be partly down to the kit lens that was being sued as can see some parts of the grass are perfectly sharp, but then it drops off very quickly. Your exposure is really well done and the adjustments you have made also seem to have aided the image too.
I really like this image, it feels nice and nostalgic but with the added bonus of your skillset for the positioning of the sign in the left-third. The exposure over the whole image is done really well. When you then examine the image further you notice the rich details in the mountains in the background being nice and sharp too, so overall a well-done image for the competition.
You have a very nice composition here on your image, but unfortunately, it has been let down by the lack of focus points to pull the eye into. I notice the image says 2015, so perhaps the phone camera you were using has moved on a bit since then and you will have better results with the autofocus now. It is nice to see you have a good understanding of composition and were able to enter with this image.

A really nice image that has some gorgeous tones within it. The framing of the image works well as does the exposure, where there is room for a few improvements with the tree branch in the middle of the right-hand side is poking through and could have been cloned out. Also, the tree support posts behind the tree are also a bit of a visual direction, but with these few di I am still happy to have this in my to 10 images
