The cold emanates out of this image while drawing the viewer in. A chilly scene with delicately sharp icicles and frozen over rocks contrasts nicely with the warmer sunrise colours. These colours are almost diagonally reflected in the rocky beach, only with a cooler cast. You've done well to maintain a good exposure with the bright sky and the shadowed region of the ice and rocks. Great job!

An amazing grand view with bright clear light. You can almost breath in the crisp clean air through this image. The bright early light illuminating the mountainside draws the eye deeper into the scene and out over the distant peaks. The close and mid range elements help to immerse the viewer in the moment while providing a golden tone that resonates throughout the photo. Well done!
A serene black and white scene with still and flat water accentuating the rough details of the shore, and the chaotic ceiling of clouds. It looks like it could be a great image, unfortunately I can't delve deeper with the current resolution. There appears to be lots of fascinating details in the rocks and contrast in the sky, but without a higher resolution it's hard to tell. I'd really like to see this image in future contests in a larger format so it can be appreciated for what it really is.
It can be very difficult to shoot locations like this, as the slightest change in position from exact centre can lead to a distracting lack of perfect symmetry. That being said, you've nailed the symmetry in this shot with a dead centre composition. Well done! There is also a balance between the perfect order of the pier and the chaotic foamy spray of the water. Wonderful shot!
You've done a great job to capture this location during a highly sought after time of day, and come away with something visually intriguing with a unique feel. While the typical shot has the sun behind the stones, you've rested it on the horizon in a place that draws the viewers eye to the people. This helps add scale to the scene and the iconic shapes of Stonehenge. Well done!
I can see the consideration that has gone into the composition of this image. Strong foreground interest that gives a sense of place with the finer details of the landscape. A long shutter smoothed lake that helps accentuate the rest of the details in the scene. A distant mountain nestled between the sloping hills on either side. Bright sunlit clouds to add interest in the sky. I feel like the visual balance of the photo would benefit from cropping out a quarter to a third of the sky though. Still a wonderful shot!
A wonderfully elegant shot with sense of calmness. The low angle point of view and open aperture help pull the viewers attention over the soft foreground and focus more on the lone bare tree. The hazy backdrop of the taller copse of trees does a great job of isolating the central tree against a lighter background without leaving it open to empty sky. A lovely shot, thank you for sharing!
A quaint little building with a weathered character that appears as if it is gazing at the setting sun with its illuminated windows. A wonderful play of composition that shows off the main subject matter and surrounding landscape, as well as what is outside of the frame with the reflected sunset glow in the glass. The colours and exposure are spot on too. Well done!
A powerful display of the fury of the ocean. The small structure seems fragile on its precarious cliff side perch. It also seems to be holding strong against the chilly conditions that have frozen the sea water to it and the surrounding vegetation. A well timed capture that evokes awe in the viewer.

I love how the tones of the image appear both muted and vibrant at the same time. The hills of Sri Lanka take on a balmy atmosphere with the fiery clouds and hazy air. There are interesting features wherever you look, from the steep slope hugging buildings, to the layered retreating hills, and the featherlike bird of paradise clouds. A lovely descriptive image of the location.

Who can resist a photo of rocky mountains reflected in a still mirrorlike lake. The brightly lit crags back light the silhouetted pine trees and dominate the blue sky. I like how you've cut back on the amount of open sky is in the scene, choosing to focus more on the landscape itself with its rugged beauty and frosty nature. This means the scene feels well balanced and keeps the viewers attention. Well done!

A wonderfully verdant scene with a gentle light bathing the hill side. The bright winding roads that hug the slopes draw the eye down into the valley and the towns within. An expansive vista with plenty to explore. However, there is one distracting element that takes away from the majesty of the rest of the scene. The cables in the top of the frame keep drawing the eye up and away from the view. If there was a gondola hanging from them it would suit the scene more! You could still capture the essence of the scene by cropping it out, or practice your skills at cloning it out. Still a wonderful image!
A beautifully captured aroura reflected on a quiet lake. You've done a great job to keep the focus in check across the entire image, from the stars, to the trees on the opposite bank, to the foreground vegetation and pier. The star of the show is obviously the magical lights in the sky, exposed perfectly, but the rest of the scene provides a more unique setting to the usual snowy mountain images associated with aroura.
There is so much going on here with the spectacular fiery sky, reflected in water with geese (I think), and the fascinating silhouetted shapes of the park rides. There is a lot going on, combined with a lot not going on. While the sky does continue with a wonderful gradient into the purple range, it doesn't add too much more to the main image. The same goes for the darker region at the bottom. The photo would benefit greatly from a square crop, with central horizon line, or even a more 4:5 landscape ratio. Still a beautiful scene!
The glare from this image makes my eyes want to squint as if I'm looking at the sun for real. An intriguing scene that speaks to the viewer of adventure in a vast and beautiful landscape. The hazy air scatters the warm red and orange glow from the sun throughout the land. This also adds a depth to the image as details fade in the distance. The silhouetted tree seems to be grasping the sun in its central branches, holding it in place for the intrepid explorers below.
