This reminded me of the great Dennis Stock image of James Dean walking in Times Square. That image is a classic and this is not far behind. The focus is all on the man in the coat, well placed within the frame and the way he walks with his hands in his pocket has been wonderfully captured by the photographer in this great candid street portrait. Using black and white makes this image timeless. A great capture. Well done.

This was so close to my top 10 and the only thing keeping it out is the very small blue rail at the bottom of the right corner. Overall it is a wonderful image. The high camera position allows us to see the entire area from the wonderful lady walking through the picture to the stunning background. The intensity of the red outfit works so well against the soft colors of the background. Well done.

Sometimes stepping back and allowing yourself to see the entire scene can really pay off and it has done in this case. We get to see the monks walking within this incredible space. The deep orange of the robes they wear really come alive against the incredible temple behind them. The composition is wonderful with the trees framing the entire picture. This would look great in a travel magazine or National Geographic. Superb capture.

Incredible technique has really elevated this image into something special. It is full of atmosphere and intrigue. The use of black and white really adds to the picture as we are not distracted by any color and the dark skies work well against the darker grey road. The central positioning of the person walking works well in this scene and really draws our attention into the frame. A really unique photograph that stood out from the crowd. Well done.

Beautifully captured and framed. This candid street portrait is out of the top draw. The tight crop is not easy to do without being noticed. The relationship to the girl in sharp focus with the others intentionally blurred in the background really gives us the viewer a sense of the space and situation of the place. The use of black and white turns this picture into a documentary style portrait and means we focus in on the woman's expression and the clothes she wears. The casual pose is in direct contrast to the facial expression and again this works really well. A stunning example of a classic square format portrait. Stunning.

The intensity of the stare really draws us the viewer into this wonderfully tightly cropped scene. It is almost like the reflection is a different person to the one looking into the mirror and the inclusion of the two fingers is really important to creating the space between them. The lighting on the face is superb as is the sharp focusing on the eye which has an intensity to it. The image feels like a film still from a horror movie. I love it. Well done.

Straight out of a top advertising campaign. This photograph is all about atmosphere. The quality of the early morning light is superb. The soft tones really work well in this scene and the main person walking with the bag is very well positioned within the frame. The rim light around the head just adds that extra glow. This feels like it could have been taken many years ago. Even the cars feel and look old within the picture. The photographer has done a fantastic job in keeping all the elements connected within the frame. Wonderful. Well done.

The quality of light is excellent as it hits the eggs. This is complemented by the neutral background colors and the man central within the frame. This is a wonderful candid street photograph that works so well. I like the side on the view of the man but would have loved to see his face looking closer to the camera. Really well done. It's not easy making images in the street and this is very good.

The smile, the stare away from camera and the tight crop all go to making this a wonderful charming portrait of a young girl. The golden light on the face and hair and fields in the background just lift the image and that smile is so warm we cant look away. This is such a charming portrait and one that would grace any wall happily. I could see this in a frame. Stunning capture.

As the title says. What are they looking at? we will never know and it is this intrigue that makes this image so wonderful. It asks questions. The composition is great and the frame is filled with the people all with different facial expressions but all looking at the same thing. The warm colors of the skin work in connection to the rock behind and the sand they sit on. We get pops of color that lift the scene. I just want to know what it is they are looking at. It makes me smile when I look at this picture and that is no bad thing. Well done.

The main area of focus is on the couple looking down onto a rugged landscape. What elevates this image is the great camera position and superb technique. We the viewer get to see what they see because of the elevated position the photographer has taken. The mist in the background just adds to the layer of intrigue within the frame. The neutral colors work as does the placement of the two people set within the picture. Great capture.

This is a great capture that is perfectly made for the situation of the scene and subject. The low camera angle allows the couple to take center stage within the photograph and the pale sand within the grass works well against the white clothes they wear. The poses are all about them together and the soft white clouds within the blue sky elevate the picture into a wonderful photograph that the couple will enjoy for many years. Superb capture.

Two small pockets of color and the entire frame is lifted and turned into something special. Without the blue and red umbrellas in this scene we could easily have overlooked the picture but with them intentionally included by the photographer we cant take our eyes off the picture. We then start to look around the frame and see small little moments like the couple holding hands in the right bottom corner. Well done a great capture and very well seen.
