A beautifully composed image. The tight crop and black background work so well with the white cloth the small child holds onto. The diagonal shape the cloth creates is visually very pleasing and the stare of the child looking out of the frame adds additional intrigue to the picture. The sharpness on the eyes is great as is the saturation and colors within the frame. A classic and stunning portrait that would grace the pages of National Geographic. Very well done.
This wonderful grab shot on the move really does give us a glimpse of life on the busy streets. Most people are quietly going about their own business except for the young child who spots the photographers intentions and becomes the focal element and star of the image. The subtle realistic colors work well within the context of the subject and offers a humorous slice of street life. Well done.

They look like a giant which has been helped by the wide angle lens and very low camera angle to accentuate the scale difference. The pose as they move through the frame is perfectly timed by the photographer and this caught moment tells us everything about what it means to play sport and when I suspect it goes your way. This well constructed photograph really does justice to the subject matter. The colors of the dress they wear are perfectly considered given the setting and environment, the low camera angle, gives power to the person in shot as they slightly look down on us in a good way and the shallow depth of field means we concentrate fully on them. The soft blur of the flowers in the foreground just adds the technical skill shown by the photographer. Well done.
This delicate almost ethereal double exposure really stood out from the crowd. The positioning of the girl against the background forest works well because of the detail in the trees and that sense of movement within the soft blur of the branches. The use of black and white gives us that ghostly spiritual feel when we look at the picture and the tilted head is lovely and works really well when reading the text about the idea behind the picture. The wonderful stares into the distance especially the young girl slurping on a massive milkshake is so typical of a teenager and the relationship between the two really looks like it could be staged rather than a caught in the moment image.. The colors are vibrant and the shallow depth of field means we focus our attention on the two people in shot. It's a lovely capture and a great moment that I'm sure the family will cherish and frame within the home, well done.
The lights from I guess a cars headlight have created a wonderful almost complete rim light around the individuals body. The silhouetted figure works so well centrally placed against the dark background. The level of illuminated sky elevates the entire frame from being developed in dark and lifts the scene. The details in the tarmac take our eye into the frame in what is a wonderful capture.
As the text states, "calm" I'm so pleased about that. This delightful photograph is very well done. The tight crop really allows us to see the young girls facial expression as they concentrate on the illumination of fire coming out of the gun. I've never seen anything like this before and it sure beats holding a sparkler. The light on the face really adds to the quality of illumination in the frame in what is a unique and warm image. A really very well timed photograph. Almost instinctive as the photographer has a split second to react to the boys coming towards them and make the image. The poses are wonderful and the blues and greens from the clothes two of the boys wear really jumps out against the muted tones of the walls. The contrast and saturation work together well in what is a stunning capture with great technique and timing. Wonderful expressions on the faces and hand gestures. Really well done. I can only wonder what was said when they finally got up close to you. Fantastic.
The composition is almost perfect. It contains so many wonderful little visual delights and the colors between these elements compliment each other so well. It is easy to miss what is actually included within the frame given the busy nature of the scene. I love the arm around the small child as the adult introduces the baby to these wonderful horses, The washing lines above complete this amazing montage of a photograph. Beautiful. Well done.
A remarkable image that is technically beyond reproach, reminding me of the great decisive moment photography by legendary photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson. The timing is perfect catching the young boy in mid air, with the young girl peering to camera coming from behind the corner. The use of black and white gives the picture a timeless quality and the strong light and high contrast works very well and adds additional drama to this powerful and emotive photograph. This subtle but imposing image really works well on the screen, the illuminated figure of Madonna and child offer the only real color within the frame as they are surrounded by the brutal grey building as a lone individual walks past with a great shaft of light going down his jacket. Its beautifully seen and timed in this wonderfully controlled image. Great capture.

This subtle and soft portrait is really rather beautiful. Using the warm evening natural light to create this humane portrait that still shines showcasing the dignity of the elderly lady moving through the space. The warm light around the hair is lovely and just separates them from the background. Its a lovely environmental portrait. I could see this as part of a larger project on people in spaces. Well done.
This fun image is well crafted and the photographer shows great ability in planning an image working with people to create this unique perspective.
