What a sweet and stunning photograph in lovely light. I was drawn to the textures and patterns and colours in this image of a sleeping newborn. I feel compelled to take a deep breath and coo it out slowly. This image reminds me to breathe. I love the pleasing features, including how both hands are placed nicely, one on chest and one on that which draws us back to newborns head, which is the focal point. Stunning pom pom prop. A wonderful black & white image of newborn with mother in hospital. The narrative in this image is so full of nurture and wonder. The hand on the subjects head conveys love, and expresses love so naturally. The hospital tags together symbolise a moment in time, unity and identity. You belong to me sweet little baby, you are mine! You came from me. A beautiful image, with focus on the newborn, with the addition of having mothers gaze incorporated. For this contest, I would have loved to see this image cropped to just the left half side of this image revealing the newborn only, with mothers hand. I simply cannot take my eyes off this newborn's laughter and smile... Happy Dreams indeed! A gorgeous image that permeates happiness and delight in living. This is a genius capture of a newborn. The golden glow and depth of skin colours is intriguing. I love the chocolate, caramel and honey tones. This image, I could stare at all day and find something new to love about it. This would be my favourite photo (and in number 1 position) in this contest personally, however I would need to see the focus on the newborn, rather than of the clothes worn by the newborn. I suggest doing this by having the subject wear something plain in colour, or be semi nude, so that the newborns face and body were the focus, and not the clothing pattern or bear, where my eyes are drawn to. This image radiates love and warmth, and care, and peace. This image permeates with a parents love. Thank you for an inspiring image! 10/10

I highly regard this image, and it almost had a ranking in the 'Top 3' for this contest. I love that this image has all of the subject, head to toe. It emphasises this newborn in gender neutral colours, which is pleasing. The lighting exudes warmth, love and an angelic depth. The textures are complimentary. My suggestion for improvement in this image is the area around the newborns left foot (toes). The background here seems unnaturally cropped or edited, and the carpet need not be part of the image, perhaps use the backdrop wall. Thank you for a beautiful image!!
