I like this very much. A well-judged and anticipated image that is as much about angles as it is about beach life. The triangular details in the left hand pole is echoed beautifully in the girl's pose. The strain on the man's face is well timed and the exposure is good. I think it's a lovely frame and says something about America's 'body beautiful' culture as well as being a strongly constructed frame. Well done..

Nice. It isn't that I haven't seen this kind of image attempted before but this is a good stab at it. I like it because of the muted, almost pastel colours that are in contrast to the hard, brutal skyscrapers. A longer lens has given a pleasing compression to the image and there's a pleasure looking at all the details that are flattened out.
There's a picture here and you've nearly found it... I like the simplicity and the straight-on angle; how the bow is caught in a diagonal that contrasts nicely with the uprights of the figure and the other instruments - but the opening door is distracting. There's a lot going on and ultimately although it's not bad, sometimes you just have to work a frame/your position until the picture 'pops'. This nearly does - not a bad effort.
