Old Cars

This is a really interesting picture. I love the three horizontal lines next to the curves. The bold colour which makes the black and shining chrome really stand out. I think a slightly different composition, where you crop out the hubcap in the bottom right, may have given a stronger image as having a single chrome circle in the frame would have been less distracting.... A lovely detail shot. well done

I really like how the cart being pulled by the horse is the exact same colour as the car as it slowly plods along the cobbled road. Despite the nice paint work the car looks a little past its prime with a slight wonky ness giving it a certain amount of character. You shot this from a nice low angle to enhance not just the car but also the cobbled road which is a great call. Nice muted colours and a lovely atmospheric picture.

Love the movement. Love that you can feel this guy willing his classic car up the steep hill. All the slow shutter shots in this competition were panning shots but this one has the additional motion blur on the man, hunched over the wheel desperately trying to get up the hill and it really adds to the image. Nice composition with the track disappearing behind the car and enough of the mountain range to show how tough this race must be for old cars like this.
