All machinery gets old. Some of it just keeps working, a testament to its design and build. The rest doesn’t, often getting discarded in junkshops, yards and fields where the observant photographer stumbles across it. There’s a heck of a lot of character to this aged technology, with its rusty wheels and battered casings, and it reaches back into earlier times when the workings of things were maybe more on display, and a little easier to grasp.
