One Colour

December 2023

This photo has great potential. The detail on the scales alone is excellent, and I like how they fill the frame. However, the photo loses its impact due to its lower quality and lack of sharpness. I can only assume that it is a zoomed-in crop from a larger photo, which could be the reason for the loss of quality.

Landscape photos taken with proper care and technique can be truly breathtaking. The photo in question is a great example of this. The hills in the photo have a wrinkled texture, giving the impression of a rough sea. The photo predominantly features shades of green, which perfectly aligns with the theme of a single colour

I think there's a lot of potential in it. Have you considered changing the crop from a square to a calico "rectangular" format? This would provide more neutral space around the main subject and allow it to stand out more. Additionally, I think it would be even more impactful if the photo was fully focused on the grass. Overall, with these small adjustments, I believe the photo could be absolutely stunning!

I'm really impressed by the photo! It's masterfully crafted with great precision and attention to detail. The perfectly focused feathers and the vibrant green color of the subject immediately caught my eye. I also appreciate the simplicity of the background, which helps to highlight the main object in the photo. Overall, it's a great work of art!

Wow, wow, wow! The level of detail in this photo is absolutely stunning. I was especially drawn to the composition and innovative way in which the petals were photographed. The drops of water in the photo add the perfect atmosphere, and the deep red colour of the flower enhances the overall impression of the photo beautifully.

The photo intrigued me because of its colour, the simplicity of its execution, and the fact that it fills the entire frame. Also the presence of the path of the little lizard is a beautiful detail that makes the photo even more interesting :). Great job!

You did it! Now I suddenly have a craving for blueberries. The main subject fills the entire frame, with nothing distracting. The author perfectly captured the lighting conditions, and the water droplets create the right atmosphere. You did a wonderful job.

napisatI would like to start by saying that the photo is truly stunning and the vivid yellow hue of the flower is beautiful. However, I believe that the photo could be improved in terms of its impact on the viewer. In my opinion, cropping the photo further would create a more dramatic effect. By doing so, the flower would cover the entire photo, but not all the petals would be visible. This would create a macro cutout effect that would be further enhanced by the water droplets, making the photo even more unique and special.

The photo is stunning. The composition and colour scheme are both excellent and it perfectly matches the theme of 'one colour'. I especially enjoyed the little surprise in the bottom left corner in the form of a little spider :).

I must say that I find this photo truly stunning! The composition, subject matter, and overall aesthetic are all very impressive. However, I did notice that the image quality is slightly reduced, which may be due to compression. If possible, I would suggest uploading the photo in its full resolution to showcase its true beauty. I find nature photography to be very calming, and this photo certainly achieves that effect. Overall, I think it's a fantastic photo that captures the beauty of wildlife. Great job!

The photo is a perfect fit for the theme of "one color," (it's all in shades of brown), as the owl's feathers blend in beautifully with the tree's bark. It's a unique shot that highlights the beauty of nature.

I believe the photographer did an excellent job, and this picture is a great example of the artistry that can be achieved through photography :).

I'm very impressed with this photo - the golden hue is captivating and draws the viewer in. The peacefulness of the image is quite remarkable, and it really transports the viewer to a serene summer afternoon on the canal. I can almost hear the water gurgling and the birds singing! Overall, this photo is simply beautiful and does an excellent job of evoking a sense of tranquility.

I must say, it's a beautiful photo. It made me feel like I was transported to a magical, early autumn forest. In terms of composition and lighting, it's perfect. Although it doesn't exactly fit the theme of one shade, it's at least in a similar color spectrum. Sometimes, it's not just about meeting the theme requirements, but also about the emotions a photo evokes.

Pick a colour, any colour. But just the one. This might sound simple enough, but life is multicoloured, so this might be an opportunity for some still life fun, or close-ups of just one object, or for the eagle eyed to find situations in the real world where the same colour occurs in abundance. Submitted images might contain a very small amount of other colours, or subtle changes in tone between the different subjects and elements in the frame, but the image must overwhelmingly be of one obvious colour.

I could tell that the photo was taken in Tuscany even without looking at the map. The picture is very creative and eye-catching. However, I did notice that the horizon appears to slope to one side, which could be easily rectified by straightening the image slightly. I would also like to suggest that you keep an eye on pixelation when compressing the photo to a smaller size. Overall, I think your photo has great potential and with a few minor tweaks, it could truly shine :)!
