Only Leaves

The beautiful colour of these leaves, along with the skillful composition lead me to include this photo in my top 10. The leaves are carefully placed to create interest and highlight the wonderful veins in these leaves. I like that the bottom leaf has a wider range of colours than the top leaf. The shadow of the stalk also enhances the shot.

I love the composition of this photo, highlighting at the centre both the interesting shape of the leaf and the detail. Excellent use of light gives the leaf a translucent appearance and glow. The soft background adds to the beauty of this shot. Well done!
