Great contest!

I am such a sucker for a multiple species shot! The timing in this photo could not have been better! You've got this nice soft light, this bird perfectly in mid swoop, and this orca breaching all at the same time! Then you've got just a little bit of a reflection going on in the water from the orca that helps to kind of lead the eye. I love it!

Although some may say that this photo could be a little more in focus I personally love the natural soft feel of this photo. It gives the viewer a sense of tranquility and peace. The timing of the breaths just adds to calm nature of it all. Brilliantly done!

I love all the timing shots I have seen in this contest. This was one of the best. What I like is that you can almost see the whole tail flick play out in your head just because your brain expects it to happen. Awesome photograph!

Such sublime timing here! I love the water streaming off the tail! The gentle lighting allows you to really view the animal without all the glare one tends to get off of a white shiny animal. Really a very well done photo!

The focus on the orca pod is so crisp! I love how the spray from their breath points out the odd and incredible lighting going on in the rocks behind them. What I like so much about this photo is that it has all these interesting layers of lighting and shadows, there is so much more going on here than just the amazing animals. Great capture!
