First, this is a terrific image you have created. Everything appears to be very sharp and there is a crispness to the focus that is difficult to execute in the night. The exposure is very well balanced here considering how much light there must be in Singapore at night. The temple draws my eye into everything around it and to the rest of the skyline that appears to be gradually getting higher and higher in the frame. An interesting composition with lots of detail for my eye to view. Finally, the colors are not overdone with is hard to resist when doing night photography, those blues in the buildings and in the sky are controlled. Stunning night photography!
Nothing against the rest of the photographers who submitted images to be considered, this was one of the only night photos that had a compelling human element. The lighting here is what absolutely make this shine, the backlit people and smoke. This tells me a story without knowing any context of the picture or where it was taking. Great photo and it's hard to stand out among photos of the Milky Way and Aurora Borealis, but this is an excellent example of night photography and the human element.
I love that you did a composition of multiplicity in a night photo contest, that's a daring entry! I appreciate the skill that goes into multiplicity and you nailed it, the shadows match too which is always the hardest to get right. It's hard to see what all of your other selves are doing in this picture so maybe try bringing the subject(s) closer to the foreground. But great concept!
I wanted to rate this one higher because it's a very lovely image, the snowy landscape at night is one of my favorite sights because it reminds me of my childhood. However, I personally do not care for the star trail effect of making the stars look like comets. That's just my personal opinion but the image is still very beautiful!

Night photography is probably best known for memorable shots of urban or natural environments (or whatever the photographer's surroundings may be in that moment), but we don't want to limit you to that. For this contest, the subject can be just about anything you like, so long as it's shot outside and after dark! Perhaps something we wouldn't expect. Let your imagination run loose.

Personally, I love snowy night scenes with the stars shining brilliantly. The exposure on this is very well executed, not too bright in the foreground but still dark enough to see the stars. The composition is really well done for the left half of the photo, the dark trees framing the snowpack. But the right side of the image is really busy and my eye gets lots in the indistinct shapes and lines. Really well done though!
I'm a big fan of having the Milky Way stretch up from behind a silhouetted subject and you have executed that very well in this photo. The background isn't terribly interesting aside from the orange light on the right. Everything looks very well exposed and it's an interesting image, but the silhouette in the foreground isn't quite enough to push this into the next level.
I can't believe that you were able to get this clarity and dynamic range from that famous high side in Hong Kong. There doesn't appear to be any smog in the air and that alone is an accomplishment.
Aside from a few hot spots, everything is well balanced here and very clearly focused. The faint light on the trees in the foreground is a nice touch too.
