This is an amazing and warming capture. I myself have been to race meets and your attitude is 100% correct. To see the jockey helping out is heart-warming. You have chosen a great angle that has enabled you to keep the background clear as well so brilliant work. Great to see this image in black and white as it adds emotion. The water coming from the bucket is 100% sharp and well captured. In fact the whole image is 100% sharp and technically perfect. This is a great and moving image that meets the brief perfectly. Horse care cannot be summed up better than in your image, showing not only stable hands look after the horse but the jockey/s as well. It is a beautiful moment that shows dedication to the welfare of a horse that has ran for us and got its needs met through 100% tender loving care as its reward. This image has great impact. The massive splash coming off the horse is amazing. I really like the way you have chosen to photograph this image from the other end of the horse as it has made a more interesting shot than normal when shot at the front end.

I really like how you have focused in on the horse’s mouth and only the top of the bucket and the hand holding it. It enables the viewer to focus solely on the important part of this image. The horse getting its well earned drink. Though horse care is a wide ranging subject I feel that horses being given water after a race is one of the most crucial and warming ways to capture horse care. It shows 100% dedication to the horse’s welfare, especially after a long race. Also it looks a very hot day as the sun is shining so more important that the horse is given a good drink. The image is very well captured, composed and 100% sharp. Very well done for a fantastic image.
