People Hiking in a Natural Environment

The beauty ot this rocky and nude, richly coloured mineral crests touched me at first sight. We are at a very high elevation and dominate a vast horizon,which discloses many other beautiful ranges. In the immensity of this landscape the small group of hikers look like tiny ants moving on the line of a small path. How lucky we are that some adventurous and courageous hikers bring back photos of this quality! Thank you for sharing this one with us in this challenge and congratulatiosn!

This photo is my "coup de coeur" because it shows so many outstanding qualities! First, the excellency of the shot, composition and light! Mysterious atmosmphere, due to the partly hidden landscape of immense mountains. I can almost see the threatening clouds running fastly in the sky... Last flashing sunrays before the possible late afternoon storm. I do hope that the heavily packed hikers could find a shelter for the night... As a fan of the slot canyons of the Southwest of the USA, I do appreciate this photo very much. I do know how difficult it is to get an accurate shot ot these very special, stonrgly contrasted places. Here the overwhelming beauty of the sheer cliffs, the textures of the red sandstone and its unique lines and textures is perfectly captured!
