People in Action

I love the look of focus and determination in the eyes of the driver in this full on action shot. The dirt and grass fills the screen completely, obscuring the the background but the hypnotic eyes shine through. You have captured the perfect moment that would have gone in the blink of an eye. Not that you would be able to get this close as a spectator . Full of energy and grit, congratulations on being in my top ten selection.

This image is all about the angle and timing. The synchronised pose of the athletes is not perfect as two of them are leading with a different leg. Overhaul this does not distract from a very dynamic moment. The wait, concentration, focus and then the adrenaline rush captured by the click of the shutter. Very nice capture. A dramatic action shot nicely framed by the curtain of water spray. The skier is enjoying herself and this adds to appeal of the image. Not an easy shot when every element is moving and you have composed the framed the shot to perfection. Well done and congratulations on being in my top ten selection.

Canicross is a new sport to me and looks like a lot of fun. We can see the effort of this team, the dog instinctively knowing his role and the slightly built female in full flight and getting a full boost via the bungee cord.. You have captured the perfect moment when out of six legs only one is in contact with the ground. With a minimum of colour in the image the green vest draws attention to the striking pose of the runner. Well done and congratulations on being in my top ten selection.

What a great action shot. We are placed at eye level and in the ring. A straight right distorts the face and sends up a shower of sweat tinged with blood. I feel like I am the referee and about to step in to avoid further punishment. Tremendous shot, full of detail with a great composition. Well done and congratulations on being my number one selection.
