Pollinators on Flowers (in colour)

Thank you to everyone who joined this contest with many amazing images. This composite caught my attention with its depiction of multiple bumblebees pollinating numerous flowers. They move so fast it is difficult to capture such a scene in the field. Yet this is what we need in our environment with the changes in climate worldwide. A wondrous and beautiful scene. Hummingbirds are not usually thought of as pollinators yet they are an important part of the plant world. This beautiful image captures this hummer sharply against a slightly blurred background, which helps to identify the environment. Flies are good pollinators and this hoverfly is captured well. Its face and large eyes are pin sharp and the composition shows the full insect while also letting the viewer know it is on a sunflower. Well done, and congratulations on your Top 10 in Pollinators on Flowers!

Hummingbird moths, also know as hawk or sphinx moths, are good pollinators, even though they come from a gardeners dreaded hornworm caterpillar. This image captures the moth with a perfectly upright teasel as a clear image for both. The solid background sets off the subjects perfectly.
