A great photo which portrays a candid moment in window light. Super sharp and with lots of contrast and emotion. I love the tones, shadows and depth in this photo. The photo has feeling and the photographer has captured this beautifully. A great shot.

A group of young girls savouring a moment and capturing it with a 'selfie'. This is the 21st century and moments like this seem to encapsulate 21st century life. The image is sharp with great tonal contrasts and I love that it is black and white. A great image and deserving of its place in the top ten.

A great shot which encapsulates emotion and 'another world'. I really want to know the story, the location and the context as this would give the photo a sense of place in the World. The image is sharp and clear and certainly commendable.

A beautifully posed shot and technically stunning. great composition and editing and I presume taken in a studio? I would love to hear the story behind it or at least the inclusion of a little context. Otherwise the colours, tones and sharpness are commendable.

A cleverly taken and well composed shot of a family on a train with the to children staring out and in sharp focus. The rain on the window, the contrasts with their hair and the green paintwork and the fact that it appears candid all worked in its favour. Wonderful!

I love this shot and its composition, lighting and conversion to monochrome. The focus is slightly soft but, nonetheless, it is a great image which conveys a 'Kolkata' street scene. I also like that you have provided a story and description which gives the photo a context. To me this is essential. Well done.

There is something about this which draws the viewer in. A little of the rebel, anti-establishment and a conveyance of maturity whilst being on the edge of childhood. I like the rendition in black and white but I might have resisted cutting off the image on the left. Nonetheless a commendable shot.

A lovely candid shot and beautifully composed. I truly value a description and story of where and how - thank you. I love the colours and the fact that her mind is clearly somewhere else and you captured the moment spontaneously. A wonderful shot.

I love this shot. The wide aperture, the hint of a smaller child in the background and great tones and colours. It gives the impression of a candid shot and the rule of thirds very successfully applied. A truly inspiring shot which draws the viewer in. .

I lovely portrait of a Suri girl. It is sharp and quintessentially Suri. I love the dark background but would like to know how it was taken? I always think it is of value to set a context - 'taken close to the village of Kibbish in Surma which is in the Upper Omo Valley, for example? Otherwise a super image of a striking young Suri girl.

A striking low key portrait with very interesting eyes, even if in monochrome. I would love to know where and how it was taken? Is it a travel photo? It is sharp and I love the dark background but the context does, in my opinion, make a difference.

The idea behind this is clever and its a captivating image. The focus is slightly soft on the girl which might be to its detriment and I would love to know more about the context. Nonetheless it is a powerful shot and deserving of a place in the top 10.
