Pylons and Masts

April 2023

The simplicity of this image is what makes it stand out. Pure whites taking much of the frame space with the small dark black pylons slowly disappearing off into the distant fog is a beautiful combination. The subtle bits of background make it feel more real as it is quite an unnaturally stark picture. Great work

There were many photographs of low mist and fog but this one stood out at you have exactly the right amount of cloud vs landscape. The various shades of grey make me look for a pure white but I am glad there isn't one. The electricity pylon is a nice strong black so it really pings out of the frame with the legs only just visible makes a great balance. Its little friends in the background just subtle enough to be seen but not obvious. A really lovely shot. Well done

No this could (and should) be a movie poster. What an amazingly bold, strong and powerful photo. Birds everywhere on the pylon really creates interest and there are just enough birds flying in. My only suggestion would be to try moving the main subject away from dead centre or try some other compositions. A lovely picture
