The mouth and eyes of this frog give a somewhat comical feel about this image and I can't help but feel sorry for the frog getting blasted by the rain drops. I'm sure he enjoyed the rain. Very nice lighting and the exposure is perfect, allowing the rain drops to have a nice amount of movement.
This is a very simple but very strong image. Firstly, I like the bold and vibrant colour palette of the reds, blacks and yellow. Then I like the mixture of shapes from the concentric rings of the ripples from the rain drops to the strong, diagonal lines of the kerb stones and yellow lines. It's a great look at an ordinary, everyday scene.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 251 and 1000 in this week’s Leaderboard.** The easiest weather to ignore as a photographer, but many surprises and opportunities await. Long shutter speeds can create new ways of depicting rain, and rain on different surfaces creates patterns and interactions. Rain on glass acts as a natural filter that obscures and shapes the scene beyond. And rain creates scenes amongst those being drenched - people running for shelter, umbrellas unfurled and hidden under, and dogs shaking off their wet coats.
