Congratulations on getting Judge 1st Place!
There are eggs in your photo but there is so much more… there is humanity, a work ethic, a living condition, a lifestyle. This image tells a story of more than a thousand words by capturing 1/60th of a second for the world to see. It’s beautiful.

This is one of the images that stuck with me through the contest. I don’t know if you deliberately placed the rope where it is, or if you found it this way, but this capture has a balanced composition and the contrasting blues against the browns give it an appealing blend of colors. I feel like I am on this pier admiring this nest when I look at this image, and I’ve been in spots just like this many times. Excellent capture!

Let me see your photos of real eggs from any animal species that produces them. Whether they are freshly laid, cooked and on a plate, or anywhere in between, I look forward to seeing your photos.
I find it difficult to wrap my head around every technique required to make this photo. Composites are certainly not my specialty but this finished product is stunning. It’s a story of the heat and chaos that can be found on the line in a busy kitchen. It’s flipping things with a motion of the pan instead of a spatula, it’s a timeline of what happens to the egg. Excellent work!
I’m a huge fan of Xenomorphs, and this made me laugh. I can imagine going to crack an egg and a mini face hugger jumps out. Too small to be harmful, probably will get swatted by a cat 😂 Your other submissions did too. This is a very creative, pop-culture-relevant composition and now I want to go binge Alien again. Excellent work!
I’m a huge fan of minimalism, and you’ve used it to tell me a story. The texture of the flour, the hole for the egg, my hands are freshly washed and I’ve just dipped them in water, I’m about to knead that egg into that flour and make… something. A loaf of bread? Cake? Biscuits? Either way the outcome will be delicious. As someone who’s baked hundreds of loaves of homemade bread in his lifetime, I appreciate this. Excellent work!
