Adolescence as a rebellion, to everything and everyone, especially to oneself.

Jumping a fence is a clear and simple act of rebellion, an innocent and immediate gesture. Adolescence is a difficult age and where everything is doubted; where we become adults without even realizing it. We rebel against this change, yet we have always waited for it, and we want to affirm our point of view, whether it is right or not.

This project makes one of the most complex concepts related to rebellion, understood as a presence in one's daily life. Anyone can mirror these shots and suddenly return to adolescence, retracing all the small acts of daily rebellion that make us the people we are today.

Linking the concept of rebellion to politics is undoubtedly the most immediate way to react to the concept itself. However, being able to capture such a direct concept in a single shot is not at all simple.

The belief with which the subject of the photo is exposing their point of view on the crowd, raised above it, has a disruptive force. The person below, who responds to the comparison, makes this shot a pure example of politics and dialogue, extremely strong and direct.

Great shot.

An excellent conceptual example of 'rebellion' in everyday life.

To transgress socially imposed rules, even if simple and daily, allows one to feel different in some way, and one does not harm anyone.

Also excellent composition and editing of the shot, which together with the concept allow the image to acquire a force that goes beyond simple subjects.

Untangling oneself in the rules and behaviors that limit the person is difficult and tiring, but fortunately it is possible to make one's voice heard.

This picture, well done, expresses the concept of rebellion, without falling into the obvious political concept but instead opening to all possible interpretations. The choice of a child makes the concept even more powerful: the innocence that she herself represents makes the idea of rebellion more focused on the concept of justice than the political one.

Great shot and excellent execution.

"the political idea of Rebellion is now far from our society, and it is not connected concretely to an actual system as it has happened throughout the last century. What is and what does the rebellion represent in your daily life? What personal experience do you have of Rebellion in the different phases of your life, especially the current one? How can a healthy Rebellion change things today, and turn towards who or what? Can the rebellion improve a precise situation? Or can it make it worse? What is the purpose of the Rebellion - does it have one - in your life?”. Alessandro would like to invite the winners of the Crowd and Judged categories to participate with their winning their shots in the LVII Edition of the National Award of Photography 'B. Cascella'***, which will be exhibited in Italy in the month of May 2018. *** Participation is entirely optional
