Great image! It really captures the essence of church in Rust Belt America. I love the details and vibrant colors you've captured here. The little girl in the doorway is a perfect addition, as is the fact that you can see into the church behind her, where someone is lifting their hands in praise. Well done!
Lovely frame! I like your use of lighting, color, and reflection; they make the scene both aesthetically pleasing and mysterious. At first it was difficult for me to tell which lights were reflected and which were actually floating in the water; I also did not notice the crowd off to the left at first. Which ritual is this, and where is it taking place? Well done!
I love the layering and parallels you've captured in this image! The praying woman seems dressed for the space: the vibrant colors of her outfit match the stained glass windows in the background, and the warm lighting of the far walls likewise matches the yellow of her headscarf, creating a striking halo effect. Great job!
Beautiful portrait. The lighting and depth of field are just gorgeous; they work together to isolate the subject and illuminate many of the details of (Ethiopian?) Orthodox Christianity, including the beeswax candles and white robes. I like that I can even see the wrinkles of the fabric and the texture of the floor. Well done!
Whoa, this image is eerily beautiful and almost apocalyptic-looking. Great job with lighting and color here; it really creates a sense of dread and anticipation. The silhouettes of all the grave markers in the foreground are compelling and entice me to look deeper into the image for something else— maybe for monsters or wandering spirits. Well done!

This catch-all exploration of religious imagery might range from great religious edifices of the world, the Blue Mosque, Notre Dame, the Potala Palace, to quiet personal moments of mystic contemplation and prayer. From a riotous Holi celebration in the streets of Jaipur, to a set of rosary beads on a sunlit windowsill.

Wonderful job with layers and lighting here! The gesture of the woman praying in the foreground visually parallels that of Mary in the statue behind her. The silhouette makes this even more effective, isolating the woman's hands against the backdrop. I also like the hints of color you've kept in the frame - the reddish light hitting the pews, for example. Well done!
Lovely still-life image that really matches the tone of its subject matter. I appreciate the simplicity of the scene and the fact that it's portrayed in black and white; the whole frame communicates loss and loneliness. The shovels seem to be stand-ins for mourners who will soon visit the cemetery and fill in the grave. Well done.
