Congrats on your fantastic capture that ticks the boxes of the brief. A scene which evokes mystery and sadness with the setting sun going down on another day as the framework of the old ballroom of the old Brighton & Hove beloved old dame slips into the sea. Beautiful!

Congratulations on your well-deserved top ten creative captire in this contest with excellent composition of the remains of the Steetley Magnesite extending into near infinity. I particularly like the tones and shadows that add to the mood and mystery of the remains of this industrial wreckage confined to history.

Congratulations on your well-deserved top ten entry in this contest with creative composition of the remains of St Anne's old Lancashire pier stretching up into the heavens. I particularly like the tones and shadows that add to the mood and mystery of the remains of this industrial wreckage confined to history.

Congratulations on your well-deserved top ten creative captire in this contest that appeals to the (armchair!) urbex-er in me with excellent composition of the end of (Hastings?) pier with sunset and cloud formations that add to the drama. I also like the use of highlight on the old b&w flooring.

Congrats on your entry that has earned a well-deserved slot in my top ten. I was hoping to see unusual compositions of, perhaps, well-documented historical locations with ruins of an old English pier. The slow exposure, colours of the sunset and pebbles that pop in the foreground all contribute to the mystery of this scene.

Congrats in my top-ten nomination. This really appeals to the (armchair!) urbex-er in me. I love the composition and perspective with creative use of light and shade which adds to mystery and a sad story of this derelict Welsh pier. Well done!

A fabulous moody and evocative capture of a very brief moment in time and a well-deserved top ten place in this contest. Many people in Brighton remember the fire happening but there are so very few that captured it on camera before the destruction of so much of pier. It is amazing to still see the structure and also the drama of the fire inside. The last performance in the main Ballroom.

Congratulations on this creative capature of a fairly well-known view of Herne Bay Pier, isolating down to the essentials of what is the pier leaving a very artistic composition that emphasises the essence of a derelict English pier. I also like to see that you captured what looks like starlings briefly settling on the remains.

Though not the remains of an English pier, this is a fantastic shot full of drama with excellent use of shades and tones.
