Roads

The road seems to end at a lonely cottage, in a magnificent, snowy mountain landscape in the Scottish Highlands. It was certainly built for or by those using the house. The gate is the symbol saying that you have to respect this private property,, which seems to be very quiet and cosy. The faint tracks on the road show that it may be habitated, right now or has been very recently. Thank you for your participation and congratulatons!

Incredible imagination of the author for this striking picture which impresses me very deeply through the evoked symbol: our daily overuse of cars on the roads, creating lots of nuisances and pollutions. We all do pay our tribute to the monster! But this monster, ironyically, is not a dull and terrific one, but a very pretty little girl! She softens the caricature and makes me smile..Great expertise in accurate composite images! This photo could not be better in the form and in the message and deserves the first place in my this "Roads" challenge! Thank you for participating! Congratulations!

This photo strikes me by its simplicity,, its very sober elements. Only three colours: orange, black and some special blue. Although it is a harsh desert, this is the very special moment, early in the morning, or late in the evening, where everything becomes sof.t, almost like velvet. The black road winds like a snake through dunes with delicate forms and shades. Elegant composition. I can imagine how delightful and impressive this drive has been! This photo has all the qualities to be in my first choices in this "Roads" challenge: perfect composition, sharpness, graphic lines, soft light, lines and sober colours.. Many interesting details. Dubai is well known for its incredible buildings. This photo shows that the roadsystem offers a very interesting photo subject too. Thank you for sharing this excellent picture with us! Very well done! I do love the idea of a composite photo with such an unexpected opposition between winter and summer, on the same wonderful raod curves, originally shot with a drone. This photo deserves a place in my first choices! Thank you for your participation and congratulations!

The photographer took advantage of the flood, hopefully not too harmful at that moment and location. This beautiful house reflects in the overflooded street like in a mirror. Waiting for a car to capture the moment when the water creates a high and long splash is a fantastic idea and brought, for sure, great fun!, i can fel it too! There is something magic in this picture, due, may be, to a special moment of light and sun illuminating the whole landscape and enhancing all the tiny details, from the foreground to the point where the road vanishes. Perfect composition and place of the road in the photo,. The eye is attracted by the seemingly infinite length and the leading lines. The wet surface gives a strong impression of relief. The soft reflection of the gorgeous autumn colours and first snow increases the beauty of the picture.. Congratulaltions for this photo well deserving my compliments!

A long winding road into the magnificent Jasper National Park mountains in British Columbiia, what a sight! A very elegant picture in the composition and drawing of the road line! The beautiful black and white enhancies the forms of the reliefs and the sky with wonderful clouds. I do feel invited to take this road and enter deep into this majestic landscape. Great impression of mystery in this very sober landscape. The many ight tracks captured on the softly curving road line suggest that some cars already entered into the deep and mysterious fog and disappeared. under it.
