It is nice to see an image of a classic boat from a different perspective. The eye is drawn to the bowsprit and the tack-sharp detail in the old sails and rigging which makes for an effective focus point in the image. Overall a very well captured image given the harsh lighting you were presented with.
Technically a very well put together image with bang on, sharp focus and a good edit. Focusing while looking into the sun is difficult and you have managed it well here. The use of negative space and minimal distractions emphasises the subject of the photo making for a nice image to look at. Overall a fantastic photo, brilliantly capturing the atmosphere of kite surfing.

In most parts of the world nowadays sailing is a mainly recreational pursuit, but until the middle of the 19th century the use of wind to propel craft was the primary means of transport across our seas and oceans. This sailing contest encompasses imagery of all manner of ships and boats, as well as the sailors themselves, windsurfers, kitesurfers, and depictions of the sailing life.

A different perspective on sailing photography. You have displayed an eye for textures and a great use of backlighting to show the contrast of the carbon reinforcement of the sail. Rather than just taking the shot in the middle of the sail, you chose to photograph the clew and include the white reinforcement which creates radial leading lines to draw the viewer into the corner. Nicely done!
Panning is a difficult style of shot to master,, especially at 400mm! It seems you have done a great job here! The forestay and mast of the boat are not blurred, neither are the people's heads. The colours and contrast in the image make it "pop" for the viewer, as their eyes are drawn into the detail of the sailors.
You have captured a different perspective to many of the other photographers I have seen. The colours you have caught work well with each other and the motion of the clouds and the ship's ensign, paired with tack sharp masts shows you have a good technical understanding and the correct settings for a shot like this. Well done!
