Very cool photo! I like that the salamander is partially obscured and it looking like it is emerging from the water. The bright yellow spots stand out well against the dark background and bring the focus directly to the salamander. The water around the salamander looks silky which adds to the effect.
Wonderful composition and colors! This is one the most creative photos submitted. I love how the salamander is emerging from the hole in the log and how it is standing parallel to the lines on the wood. The dark background make the bright spots on the salamander really stand out as well as the texture on the wood.
