Scottish Highland Villages

An excellent photo and worthy first place. The sheep, mountains and sparse settlement, Achiltibuie, are a typical highland village setup. and exactly the sort of photo I was looking for. Well executed with sharpness and colour. Well done!

Nice colours captured in your sunset scene over Portree. The buildings and sky reflecting also add to the image. I would have maybe been tempted to try and photoshop some of the blurry boats out or alternatively shorten the exposure a bit. A classic scottish scene with mountains behind. I like the colour and the wild rugged scene you've captured. I don't think I've come across Achnahaird before, usually bypass that bit of coastline, so will plan a stop next time I'm up that way.

Something different which caught my eye from the start. In my photo, I would typically look to include the mountain tops and sky but this has inspired me to try more of this close up style when conditions allow. Lovely reflections, a simplistic but very effective photo. Thanks for entering.

I liked this black and white styling for this photo. It did take me a long time to even notice a tractor so maybe colour would help on that side. It does fit the typical hebridean style of a small village. Thanks for entering.

This caught my eye from the start. A nice close up when most entries have been of the typical wide angle. I like the people walking along the pathway and compressed buildings. Well executed and a worthy top ten place.
