Seafront Architecture

October 2023

I’ve chosen this image to review to further commend your use of layers and balance of light in this landscape. The foreground and back have dramatic differences that work together so well. Symmetrically, this could have some improvement for an overall effect. Please continue with this approach to landscape photography!

I want to highly credit this portrait for its technical efforts, the direction here with your framing, really suits this direction of lighting. The Lighthouse detail is evident with the choice of depth with your low F Stop, unveiling so much softness with the light spillage. Great tonals’ too!

**This contest is open to photographers ranked 1000+ in this week’s Leaderboard.** The buildings that we’ve constructed along our seafronts have distinctive themes, often not seen inland. Much of our seafront is dedicated to pleasure, and so our piers, fish and chip shops, amusement arcades and beach huts have been built to excite and serve us as we take a break by the coast. The coast is also home to sea voyagers, fishermen and other workers, and lighthouses, ferry terminals, and old fishing villages have come from that long history.
