There is a lot going on in this image and that is not necessarily the best thing. In any photograph it is important to have a clear subject, and while the. bus is suggested as filling this role, there is too many distractions elsewhere in the scene. Always check the edges of the frame for unwanted detail before firing the shutter! Looks like a lovely day though.

There are some seriously summery colours in this shot! The bright, fiery reds and yellows convey the idea of a hot summer day while the stark light and shadow give the scene a highly graphic feel, reminiscent of some early twentieth century paintings. Again it is not a literal interpretation of summer, rather it captures a sensation of a hot day. Well thought out!
This images is peaceful and joyful. It has tremendous energy, with the children running, but the soft golden lighting conveys the feeling of a warm Summer evening, conjuring memories of our own childhoods. As is often the case, simple works best, and in this image the clear focus and muted colours are of great benefit to the tone.

We're drawn to the minimalist style and the peaceful colour contrast of the blue and creamy yellow sand. Well composed and put together.
