Thank you for your submission and congratulations! While the images in this contest all contain a main feature of metal, the top 10 are set apart because they deliver the whole package. I love the lighting and depth of this image. The overcast backdrop is like a best supporting actor in this image. There is a mood and strength created here that is difficult to achieve. You've maintained beautiful color (just some slight color fringe from editing which is easy to fix if you watch for it) and the clarity is wonderful especially given the shutter speed used. This is very well composed and certainly follows the requirements of the brief. Very well done!

Even the texture and lighting contrasts work together to create strength and balance. The contrast of the precise metal lines of the against such a serene backdrop and peaceful landscape really puts the emphasis on the metal which is what I wanted to see. If you're able to upload images with a higher resolution, it may earn you some extra positions when Judges are determining the quality of the overall picture. Congratultions on a top 10 finish and thank you for submitting this image! There is some stiff competition in this contest but this image really stirred my interest. Firstly because of the simplicity of this shot but equal to that is the sheer strength of this photo which stems from excellent composition and choice of subject matter. Converting this image to black and white was really key in setting it apart from the rest. This rendering removed a lot potential distractions and allowed the viewsr to really absorb the elements that mattered, By all accounts this is a simple image that was highly effective and very well suited to the brief. Thank you for your submission and congratulations on your placement! Love the creativity of this image. I felt like you were offering metal in various forms much like side dishes to a meal. All the focus is on the elements being presented in the spoons which are decisively NOT metal and therefore not taking away from the subject matter. The dry ice effect also plays with your mind inferring a level of "freshness" that wouldn't typically be associated with metal. This was a REALLY well composed image with some complex elements of creativity that pulled everything together. This was a real surprise and completely deserving of a Top 10 finish... Well done!
