Show Me Your Spirit

I get a sense of the photographer's spirit through this picture. It is well balanced and wonderfully composed. Then there's the light coming from just the right places. It's beautiful and a fine art piece worthy of hanging for contemplation.

The light, empty space and woman placed in far lower right corner really lend itself to this contest well! I didn't place it in the top ten due to the dirty sensor. There were so many good shots that, in order to whittle it down, I felt I had to reduce by technicalities. I love the low contrast too.

This street party shot caught my attention because of the community celebration and white light. It lends itself as a good representation of the photographer's spirit. It feels like a cold scene but it was taken in a tropical climate which is really something! It rose to #1 after percolating the top ten for a few days. Well done!

This is a very subjective contest and I wasn't sure how I would judge what I saw. This one stood out from the moment I saw it. I love the low light, black and white, and the human looking shadow. The composition is exceptional. Your eye goes straight to the "spirit". This photo could represent good or evil. It's surreal.

I normally would not be drawn to a composite but this speaks to me. The muted colors, man looking out onto the water and clouds lend itself well to this contest. I had to be picky as the sensor is dirty so could not place it in the top ten for this technicality. Otherwise, it's beautiful.
