Signs of summer

I love the bright, vibrant colours that summer brings and this colourful beach scene fits the brief perfectly with it's row of cheerful wooden huts and turquoise sea in the distance. I like how the photographer has composed with the beach huts centrally in the frame, giving them room to breath with a block of pristine white sand in the foreground and swathes of blues in the distance. The primary colours and the simple, clean lines and blocks that make up the composition give the image a strong graphic and aesthetic feel. By shooting a long exposure to transform the sea into milky, soft blur gives the scene a dreamlike quality and focuses our attention on the row of colourful huts.
