Smoke and Steam

To photograph smoke this well is a technical challenge, congratulations on getting such a great image. The swirls create such lovely patterns and I can see a face in there. It always amazes me what intricate shapes smoke creates when it's photographed this way, things we don't necessarily see with the naked eye.

This is such a simple but effective and strong image of steam. The backlighting highlights the individual water droplets and they are clearly visible as they swirl out of the container in a beautiful pattern. It reminds me of the murmuration of birds as they swarm through the sky.

Congratulations on this winning image! This is a very pleasing picture and has a lovely, calming feel about it. The blur of the smoke adds to the cinematic atmosphere and I really like the texture of the translucent candle with the light coming through it.
