Snakes

Wow! I couldn't ask for much more in this competition. A stunning photo, capturing this dramatic moment of action and feeling. The vibrant colours also help to add to the feeling of the picture, and the precise focus creates a realistic feeling like no other. It makes you fell like you are in the moment, experiencing what the image portrays. An amazing photo, well done!

A good photo, with the snake peering out from its coils. The slight bokeh adds to the dynamics and the unusual eye is captivating. A great portrait of a snake and not much could be done to make this a better photo although cropping out the top left corner might be good. Well done!

I love everything about this photo. The photographer has done well to focus the eye and make it stand out the most. The detail of the snake though, is amazing and the photographer has also done well with the lighting. Well done, this photo couldn't be much better.

A great portrait of a snake, capturing the exact moment in which the subject puts its tongue out and seems to smile slightly. The smooth lighting also enhances the image and makes you want to keep on looking at the photo. Also, because the image was mirrored it helps to execute a more creative and slightly quirky effect. Very well done!

A stunning image, with the snake poised and ready for attack, showing nature's raw emotion. The subject is well focused and the low aperture makes a good blurred background. A great photo, although making the colours more vibrant would create a different effect with more feeling. Well done on 4th though, an excellent photo.

This photo was one of my favourites when judging this competition, probably because of that vibrant violet-purple colour in the background. The photo also has good focus and the extremely low aperture means a soft, well-blurred background that preserves more colours. An eye-catching photo, I wish I had taken it!
