Everything about this shot is striking. Amazing composition, really moody feel with those stormy clouds enveloping the mountain. Even a great capture of the soft lighting just beyond the clouds adds to the mood. Great use of the frozen methane bubbles in the foreground to give your shot depth. Very well done on such a captivating image
What a fantastic image of Vestrahorn. Getting up at the crack of dawn has paid dividends with the soft sunrise just teasing the peaks. Also great depth to this shot. I love the way the textured volcanic sand leads the viewer to the peaks. This shot really reinforces the rule of thirds theory for cracking composition. congratulations on an amazing landscape shot

What immediately brought this image to my attention was the textures of the peak on the right. I love the use of these textured channels to lead the viewer to the summit of the mountain. Not sure if this shot in colour would've had the same impact. Also well done for shooting this without getting any window reflections in your shot
The were quite a few images of Reine in the Lofoten Islands that I skipped past as I didn't feel they had the same impact as this shot. This differs as you've separated the village & the peak. What's more you've accentuated the peak by capturing an amazing reflection rather than go for a long exposure. Fantastic composition & A well deserved top ten position
What a beautiful image. Very well composed & great use of the soft light, especially on the distant peaks. It's a shame you didn't have more clouds, but that's an observation rather than a criticism. Great use of the rocks in the lefthand side of the foreground to give the shot depth & lead the viewer to the distant peaks.. This evokes peace & tranquillity. Well done on making my top ten

This shot is amazing & reinforces my desire to travel to Iceland. Although the foreground makes up about sixty percent of your image, you've still made Vestrahorn the main subject by using the black volcanic sand to lead the viewer to the distant peaks. Also great use of the grass in the foreground to add texture. Even the clouds feel moody. Congratulations on a fantastic shot

This shot is stunning. Love the moody feel to this with the grey sky which helps to darken the brown tones on both side of the shot. I've seen many shots of Glencoe which are good but don't have the depth of this shot, so great use of the rocks in the foreground. Nice crisp clear reflections of the mountains as well. A beautiful desolate shot. Congratulations on making my top ten
