Snowdrops

When i set this comp I wanted to see images of theses Beautiful flowers That show cased their Beauty I like the ripple on the water that's just throws the reflection out of focus. A lot of though went into this image, the lone snowdrop standing near perfectly straight with the flower Nearly bushing the surface, the Background is very pleasing and isn't over powering or blown then you got the water drops on the bloom, whether added or intentional its all adds up to a beautiful well captured image worthy on my 1st Place

I liked this however the background some what lets this image down I think, the flower itself is nicely capture with some detail in the petals but I think the slightly blown background around the flower is just a touch to much for my eyes anyway. maybe it should have had a black cardboard background held behind it, that what I did have done.

I Liked this Image a lot and was almost choosing it as my first place image, however the difference is the first flower for me, its slightly out of focus and being in front I would have expected the flower to have been in focus. However its a very good pleasing image of snowdrops in the rain. whether the rain is natural or added in editing I don't know but the effect is magical, choosing the two lone Blooms must have been difficult because of the way the flowers grow in tight bunches, getting down low and wet ( maybe ) has helps make this image as good as it is and so worthy of a place in my top ten

I saw this and wondered if it could have been better captured, the backlighting works this image very well, the focusing on the middle flower just held where overall its is slightly out of focus. Its a good attempt getting eye level has helped I would have maybe cropped a little of the picture all around, certainly on the two sides. Maybe the photographer should have targeted just a single flower here getting down and close to the middle flower has that would have been something I did have tried . A Pleasing attempt otherwise

This image is just brilliancy simple that its just begs the question whether the insect timed it just right to settle on the flower , focusing is ok and sharp on the insect however the white of the flower is a touch Blown out I expect because the sunlight is from the right so its lost some of the petal detail. The Background is nicely burred and pleasing to the eye. singling out one lone bloom has worked well here its just a shame its a touch blown and the white balance wasn't controlled

This is a wonderful capture of a single snowdrop Macro showing sharp detail and well controlled white balance which isn't easy to do when capturing white subjects, one of the challenges of this comp that I wanted to see was holding and controlling that white balance which I think the photographer as managed perfectly here with this image. Focus is sharp throughout this image leaving detail on the petals and the flower leaf. The green background works this image very well indeed, capturing the full flower perfectly. well done one to be proud of
