Old and new, hard and soft, they all form a strong image. The strong light and shadow contrast and repetitive lines of the corrugated plating really come to life in black and white, a good choice.

The thing I like most about this image is the composition and in particular the zig-zag line starting from the lady and her laundry in the window and ending at the bottom with the shade. This in combination with the beautiful yellow and a few stripes of red make this photo a vibrant joy to look at, a beauty.
