Soulful Portraits of Women

Great art either tells a story, or it inspires it's beholder to tell one. At least that's my take on things. For me, she is the wife of an Alaskan fisherman. He is away at sea, and she awaits his return, in prayer. She has done this for the many years of their marriage, and it always brings him home. Really a great portrait. That blue hue helped pull the story. I'd love to see a little more light on her! There are catchlights in her eyes. Bringing the light up a bit would make those more visible. More light would do a lot for this, and in many ways. Fantastic, regardless. Thanks, and congratulations!

Her expression! She is just incredible. Pure authenticity. She's a happy, soul, who knows exactly who she is, and what to do next. This is a one in a million shot. You should be very proud.
