South-West Ireland

Choosing a winner in this competition was certainly a challenge. There were also a number of excellent images from the famous Cliffs of Moher. This one stood out to me immediately due to the beautiful light streaking across the cliffs to create wonderful depth.`Congratulations on on 1st place

This is a very enchanting scene from a location that I haven't seen before. The colours are fabulous and the slightly blurred reflection works really well but the star of the show for me to is the quaint little chapel by the lakeside. Super shot and congratulations on your top 10 placing.

A number of images across the competition were focussed a select number of locations and this is completely understandable. This one from the Kilarney National Park grabbed my attention as there weren't many from this style of location. The composition and colours are beautiful, I may have used a different shutter speed but that is a matter of personal preference and doesn't'stop this being a fabulous image.

This image is really well composed. The waterfall leads the viewer straight through the image to the mountains in the distance with an intriguing the gap between them which is filled with a colourful sky. I also liked the choice of shutter speed, - slow enough to show motion in the water but not so slow as to lose the texture in the water. A gorgeous scene and one I would like to shoot one day. There were a number of entries including scenes from the quaint villages in the South West of Ireland. The colours are fantastic in this image but it is simplicity of this shot that makes it stand out from other entries of the urban areas. Thank you for entering and congratulations on 2nd place
