Sparrows

Nice smooth shot of a little sparrow. The sunlight gives extra attention to the animal, surrounded by a dark environment. Transitions between colors and different zones are very soft, and the lateral view of the bird is perfect to appreciate it.

I love everything in this photo: the bird, the cactus, the bokeh,... The hair over his head gives a little funny aspect, but it suits very well with the prickles of the branch. Brown color is predominant, but the little green leafs break the monotone.

The fast shutter speed was able to capture the littles drops of water, with the surface tension of the water also playing a role in the elongated one. it would also be interesting see a video of the whole sequence at low speed...

An important moment for all birds is to have their feathers cleaned. Good shot capturing the bath and showing both the animal and the droplets expelled with the vigorous movements. Also the expresión of the face is quite funny, I am not sure if the bird caught the photographer shooting...
