Great contest!

I love the aqua colours in this image. It also ticks all the boxes of the relevance to the brief, with original point of view/angle of shot, the right amount of sharpness and depth of field. Just the right amount of post-processing/Photoshop work too. Well done!

This image really grabs your eye and takes you into the heart of the web, with the drop just off centre - a clever idea ticks the boxes for a runner-up shot: it is simplistic in its beauty; composition: the right emphasis on both web and the mirror drop; relevance to the brief: artistic and exciting; colours: simplistic and creative with the colour emphasis on the mirror drop. This is beautiful!

This image really grabs your eye with the colour and the nature of entrapment of the lavender. This is creative and ticks the boxes: empashis on the web and blur of the lavender as it would be - encased in the web. I can almost smell the lavender!

This image ticks all the boxes for me i.e. choice of subject: appeals to the inner "goth" in me; composition: the right emphasis on both web and the subject caught in the web; relevance to the brief: artistic and exciting - it has the "wow" factor; colours: love the blue-grey and deathly colour of the skin with red tints; sharpness of the image and the subject: all in focus and emphasis; Depth of field; point of focus; emotions/moment: captures the horror; originality: love the human aspect; point of view/angle of the shot. Finally in the post-processing/Photoshop work: not too over processed just right. The emotion speaks for itself. Love it!

I simply adore this shot which appeals to my inner "goth" and "urbexer"! The black and white really works well with fantastic contrasts. The pearl necklace adds to the atmosphere. I would be very proud to have taken this shot.

This image has the "wow" factor which really grabs your eye with the delicate nature and fragility of the raindrops and spider web. This captures the 'entrapment' of the begonia encased in the dewy web. Just the right amount of post-processing with the natural colours. This is beautiful!

Beauty can often be found absolutely anywhere, even in a dusty spider web suspended from an old widow frame in all its fragile glory. In this contest I look forward to seeing your photos of spider webs. The spider webs can be real as made by a spider, or can be shown on artwork such as tattoos or murals, but no spiders to be shown in the image. Entries can be in black and white, colour or selective colour.
