I love the mystery of this photo. The circular shape of the seating rows suggested something like a bull-ring - until I saw where the image was taken. So what sport takes place during the summer months (if it was a winter sport, surely the leaves would have been cleared in readiness for a crowd?) in a circular- assuming the rows carry on in the same path - stadium? Is cricket big in Estonia?
This is the stand-out among several 'bull-ring' photographs. I feel that the photographer has captured the architecture and symmetry of the building superbly. However, what makes this image so powerful is the addition of the grey, brooding, sky. Bull-rings are brutal places and the grey sky reminds us of that.
I promised myself 'No photographs of the obvious, or very well known.' This photograph made me change my mind. The relections in the rippled water work very well; there is just enough anger in those light clouds (I recognise a distant storm brewing) to stop the sky becoming bland. Thank you for forcing me to change my mind.

Sports stadiums come in various shapes and sizes. Some are wonders of architecture while others are little more than sheds overlooking a sports field. Some are visited by tens of thousands of fans, while others often have no more than two men and a dog visiting. All, at some time or other, have seen their share of sporting emotion. So let us see your take on the stadiums (whether empty, or populated) that you know. Do you prefer (photographically) the outside of the stadium, or the inside? Is it, visually, more interesting in daylight? What does the stadium look like after dark? What does it look like when empty? (Make sure that you don’t break any trespass laws to get into an empty stadium). This is not about the sport taking place (although some incidental sport may be seen), but about the stadium architecture and infrastructure – or lack thereof.
