Take a look at the <a href="https://www.photocrowd.com/leaderboard/">leaderboard</a> for more information on Photocrowd rankings.** Statues and monuments commemorate people and events, and form part of the fabric of our cities, towns and villages. They ask us not to forget battles and wars; those lost in them and in other tragedies; military, political and cultural figures. Increasingly they generate debate about who and what we commemorate, as history and its protagonists are reassessed through the values of our times.
