Sticks and stones.....

This photo stood out for me from the first time I saw it, I had so many incredible photos, alot very similar. I think this capture stood out to me because of the lighting, the textures, the colours. the positioning of the stones. The composition is perfect. Rule of thirds and using an odd number of stones. The texture of the sand is enhanced by the shading in the sand and the ripples. I would love to know if it was a very lucky find on the shore or a well excuted set up?! I loved the subject matter of this photo I hoped I would get a few dogs and sticks, The competition was huge hence why this was just outside my top ten, the texture in the dogs coat is beautifully taken/edited. The dogs eyes have been caught really well also I felt the stick was abit over exposed and maybe the background too. Thank you entering my contest. Easy to commend this photo 😀

This beautiful photo stood out as it was different from most other photos, so thank you for entering a different photo! I loved the angle that the photo was taken being that it is of a child so photos are usually eye level or from higher. The editing has given a very real character to the photo, he looks so intent on collecting his sticks it's a very serious business!! I couldn't not have this photo in my top ten, loved it!

I had so many excellent photos to chose from, this photo kept taking my attention because it was a bit different from others. It has both sticks and stones and I think the angle and the colouring of the gives it a fairytale feel to it, I imagine elves and fairies living in the undergrowth! In the end I had couldn't not put this in my top ten, well done and thank you for entering.

I loved the colour and tone of this photo, I thought the colour editing is very clever as there is probably only two or three colours in the three subjects, the stonewall, the sea and the sky but they are all clearly separate and the textures of each are clearly visible so making a moody but I think pleasing to the eye capture.
