What at first might appear to be a very casual arrangement of some very simple items is in fact a masterly composed still life study. To take several sheets of paper and a pear and compose this image required a vey artistic eye.. It is all about the gentle play of light across the simple objects. The shadow, or is it a drawing, on the left side produces a nice balance to the composition. This paper and its sleeve also produces a pleasing concave shadow. The whole is nicely completed with a soft processing effect. Beautiful image, congratulations on being in my top ten selection.
A simple but pleasing arrangement of still life objects. The open pocket for the hazelnuts to spill out of is a great idea and I like it's reflection. The ears of wheat are sharp and well defined against the black backdrop. I like that you have softened the vase on the righthand side and removed its refection, this helps it to fade into the background. Great job, well done and congratulations on being in my top ten selection.
An interesting subject for photographers this Victorian camera is positioned directly in the centre of the square. Illuminated by light painting the subject is a mixture of harmonious colour with just a hint of the warm backdrop. This not an easy subject to photograph and I think your choice of the square on viewpoint an excellent decision. Great job and congratulations on being my number one selection.
