This is a very cool image, I haven't seen a group of splashes like this before, nice post production too. I like the lighting and the colour palette of the liquids really does make the splashes look even more like mushrooms. The look very magical!

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 1 and 250 in this week’s <a href="https://www.photocrowd.com/photographer-community/">Leaderboard</a>.** There are fabulous effects than can be created when shooting liquids. Waterdrops, splashes, refractions of light through liquids and any glass container it might be in, playing with coloured dyes, or oil droplets on water. There are endless possibilities and hours of experimentation ahead. The limitations to contest submissions are few, as long as liquid is involved within a still life image.

The red colour of the balloon really pops in this image and it's amazing to see things that you don't see with the naked eye in a fraction of a second such as the rippling of the balloon surface. The lighting is very nice to bring out the texture of the ripples and to freeze the water.

This is such a simple but strong and pleasing on the eye macro picture. I love the juxtaposition of the beads of water droplets in their intricate patterns, so gentle and delicate against the harshness of the hard metal barbed wire. It is good that the background is so soft, allowing the dark wire to stand out.
