Strange and Unusual Architecture

Fascinating photo of the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia! A top photogenic place! Each photographer catches it his way. Here the composition itself and the use of a wide angle gives the whole structure the aspect of an impressive, surrealistic fish skeleton, or, more fantastic, of an intergalactic vessel. The perfectly symetric sharp lines and reflections become even more powerful through the strong black and wihite. Thank you for honoring my challenge with this very inspiring piece of art!

This photo is very exhilarating, due to the strong wide angle effect, shooting me almost into the cosmos along the leading lines of these gigantic, machinery like buildings! The weird juxtaposition of a profusion of long tubes, multiple cubes, spheres and and curves of different kinds make it look like a futuristic industrial plant. Materials, essentially metal or glass, show unexpected textures and colours, certainly enhanced by an appropriate post treatement of the picture.. The different blue and beige or copper hues match perfectly and bring an infinite elegance into a rather "brutal" architecture. Your way to catch it makes a masterpiece of it! Very stunning architecture by genial Friedensreich Hundertwasser on this very classic and beautiful photo of the Kunsthaus in Abensberg, Germany. To me, it is the joyous celebration of impertinence in architecture! A surrealistic creation possibly inspired by Facteur Cheval and Gaudi! Metropol Parasol in Sevilla, Spain, is usually better known as a fantastic white structure by daylightby. It is not often represented with its night illuminations.. The extra large wide angle catches the beautiful lines and colours of this perfectly lit architecture. The the deep blue of the sky enhances the whole picture. To me, this is a so far seldom seen, very surprising and well composed photo of Hong Kong's Opera! Surprising also are the sober and elegant lines and unexpected beautiful hues of green of the whole structure. Thank you for this surprise in my challenge!

Totally different atmosphere for another very large angle photo by night of the City of Arts and Science in Valencia! The illuminations of the the place are not hard but rather soft, and so are the colours of the structures and the enveloping sky. The impression is soemwhere between realism and poetry. This is so a different photo between all the excellent ones of this challenge! Simple bamboo as material in such an inventive and lavish architecture, created just for fun, inviting to take a break when visiting Venice! The bamboo mesh of the pavilion creates a beautifully shaded sitting area overlooking the Arsenal. Thank you for this finding for joining my challenge!

When enlarging this picture all its qualities imposed to me and I did not stop detailing it with great admiration. The very wide angle shows this blending white, facinating buddhist temple nicely reflected in the water of the garden basin. The beautiful, out of the norm architecture of La Sagrada Familia Cathedral in Barcelona is perfect for this challenge. Especially when it is lit by such a gorgeous light showing very distinctly all the delicate details and luminous colours of the fanciful ceilings, walls and windows.
