Street art - more than scratchwork

I was very fast very sure that this is the winning photo. As everyone knows: photographing street art is easy, because the main work already has been done. However in this photo you can see that the photographer and the model also did a good job. This photo is one the one hand so nice because the model is at eye level with the street art. His interesting fashion look also makes him interesting as a model. What is he going to tell the skull? Or what does he think about it? On the other hand also the photographer did a good job. The quality of the photo is optimal and someone really wanted to combine the street art and his photo skills.

Of course this is a funny picture. the guy looking at the long legs of the women. I do not know why, but many street art photos show the street art itsself and a person which walks casual in the picture. in this case we have this but it fits very good and you start imagine how the legs escape the man's mind from his daily routine. the photographer gave us many space for interpretation at that makes the photo interesting.

It is always fascinating to see street artists doing their work. Often you only see the final result und do not watch the artist the whole time. This photo shows very nice the hard work which is behind street art. The uncomfortable position of the artist and the art by itself look very dynamic. It is also interesting, that the photographer wanted to show us that the artist needed some help to perfectly finish his art by using a magazine. For me the persons in the background disturb the theme a bit, however i know, it is a photo from the street and people use the street and can not faded out easily.

This photo has many interesting points. At first there is the street art which is a really good work. Then there is the woman which is smoking her cigarette during a break. I had to look a few times if she is really a life person or if she and the door are also part of the art because it fits perfectly into the whole picture. And this is something which rises the quality of a street art picture: you combined the art and the urban life in a very good way.

This photo represents a typical urban scene. The tunnel is completely overcrowded with graffiti and people walk fast through it. i can imagine the smell in this area. Not many people spent very much time in areas like this, except the artists and as you can see also photographers. The family who walks through the way brings more dynamic in the picture, whithout them it would be a boring picture. i think this is a good work where the photographer took his time to think about it before catching it.

This Photo is a nice combination of artist and art. I like how the woman on the picture looks at her creator. I really looks a bit as if she looks her in the eyes. We do not know where the artist ist looking at but we could imagine that she looks back to her model. So the composition of the photography is good. However i would correct the unsharp part in the left corner which is the main reason why this is not the number 1 winning photo.

Street Art is always art and art is always an expression of feelings and moods. In this picture we have two expressions: the words (the streetart) and the Person who (in the same time) represents her own art by being naked and spraying a graffiti. The photographer tried successfully to bring both into the focus of the picture. The picture only works with both elements, alone they would be to simple to be interesting. It is a good, simple work.

This is an interesting photo which represents a typical urban scene. Why does someone paint street art like this on a wall? and why does someone hang a swing beside this art? Nobody cares but nearly everyone will try to use the swing like the model does. I know it is not so easy but i think the photo could be improved if the girl would look a bit more relaxed as if there isn't a problem with using a swing which is locked at a wall.

Are they dancing? are they strangers? do they talk? something is happening between this two persons, we can not say what it is but it looks interesting and i am asking myself if it has something to do with the street art in the background. The persons bring a dynamic and spontaneity in this picture, just taking a photo of the street art would not be something special. However the most important parts of the picture are still visible. In my opinion the small parts of the white building on the left could have been cropped.
