This was a gorgeous shot and for a moment It was number one, but because it did not meet the brief, as this was a "candid" street photography contest, which is implied in the first place by the genre unless exceptions are noted. Beautiful black and white tones, nice focus on the face, great composition and leading lines, and great depth of field. Just not on brief ;(
Great Candid Street shot!! Nice depth of field, people very incidental. Great focus and clarity on the subject with nice black and white tones and good composition. Over 60% of the photos submitted in this contest were not on brief, so it was a breath of fresh air to see you nail it on all fronts. Love the detail and the reflective feel of the subject..

I am looking for candid street shots of individuals (humans only) who are highlighted using a shallow depth of field. Please only enter black and white images. No posed images, and no group or crowd shots, unless the others are incidental in the background and thus blurred by the shallow depth of field. As with all my contests no images of people who are homeless, no beggars, no street performers, or street musicians.
